New Nonprofit Partner: Rivers & Lands Conservancy

Makers4Good is excited to announce our newest non-profit partner, Rivers & Lands Conservancy (RLC): caretakers of Southern California’s natural, wild and open spaces since 1989. During their nearly 30-year history, RLC has been instrumental in acquiring and preserving over 11,000 acres of open space. They manage conserved lands for public benefit by protecting, enhancing, and restoring natural resources. RLC currently stewards over 2,400 acres of permanently protected open space, and provides a variety of events encouraging the community to engage with their local open spaces in ways that matter. Makers4Good is very pleased to announce our newest non-profit partner. Blue Water Baltimore fills a unique role in the Baltimore area as an organization that uses a holistic set of programs to meet the great challenges of improving water quality. From arts and education, to stormwater management projects, to legal and legislative advocacy, they bring together citizens and public and private partners to accomplish more than any could do alone. HELIO and Our Country’s First People

HELIO is lighting up Native American communities in the United States. Our wonderful non-profit partner, Trees, Water, & People took a case of HELIO units in the field with them to visit tribal lands. Many of our nation’s indigenous people live in conditions with little or no access to electricity, making a solar powered source of light and energy both highly sought-after and much appreciated. The Environmental Integrity Project (EIP) is our non-profit spotlight of the week. EIP is a nonpartisan, nonprofit watchdog organization that advocates for effective enforcement of environmental laws.
