HELIO and Our Country’s First People
Posted by Jarrod Whaley on
HELIO is lighting up Native American communities in the United States. Our wonderful non-profit partner, Trees, Water, & People took a case of HELIO units in the field with them to visit tribal lands. Many of our nation’s indigenous people live in conditions with little or no access to electricity, making a solar powered source of light and energy both highly sought-after and much appreciated.
Special gratitude to Trees, Water, & People for the tremendous work they are doing for our Native Americans. Since 2007, they have worked with more than 30 tribes throughout the American West and Great Plains regions, helping these communities gain access to renewable energy and green job skills. Please learn more about their important cause, both here in our own country, as well as across the globe!
