Everybody Solar & HELIO Bring Light to Native American Communities

Everybody Solar's logoMakers4Good is excited to announce a brand new partnership with Everybody Solar. Their mission is to protect the environment and strengthen communities by bringing solar energy to nonprofits—a mission we believe in too, and are very happy to help support!

Dedicated to bringing solar to nonprofits, Everybody Solar has seen first-hand the positive impact of nonprofits generating their own solar energy and reducing electricity costs. Having solar not only helps the environment, but also helps provide sustainability in communities that really need support. Makers4Good’s donation of HELIO solar lights will help Everybody Solar further their mission, as it allows them to provide another source of energy to those in need.

Everybody Solar will deploy HELIO lights to one of the poorest communities in the U.S.: the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, where 39% of the population still lives with no electricity. These lights will not only allow individuals to read and do homework at night, but they will also enable families to charge cell phones—allowing them to keep connected, especially during storms which annually put lives at jeopardy.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Everybody Solar for helping us to make the world a little bit brighter!
