Having completed the Luxi Kickstarter campaign with a load of success, we decided to plunge immediately into another project: The Toaster. We are excited about The Toaster because it allows DJs to use their favorite mobile DJ software on their laptop, smart phone or tablet and perform like a professional. The Toaster splits traditional left and right stereo channels into a House channel and a Cue channel--but the coolest part is that this cue channel preserves its microphone input, so DJs can perform and talk to the crowd with just one simple piece of hardware! Some Kickstarter backers asked to see Luxi in action, compared to existing devices. This week we tested Luxi with a Sekonic L-308 and a digital lux meter. We used Pocket Light Meter and Light Meter by White Goods for the lux testing.     Outside the Extrasensory Devices office on a cloudy day. We see time at 1/500, f/16 and ISO 800. Extrasensory Devices has launched Luxi, an incident light meter attachment for iPhones. Luxi clips onto your iPhone and, with an app, turns it into a light meter for photography, videography, or anything else that requires measuring light levels. One of the final prototypes mounted to an iPhone 4.  Hand made Acrylic dome to simulate final translucent dome.  The large dome gathers plenty of light to make a good sample for the camera to meter with.
